This place seems like a nice, cozy local coffee shop to go sit and do some work, while drinking a latte. Unfortunately, I got a black coffee to go. I like to taste the coffee, not all the sweetening additives. I normally have my coffee shipped to my house and i travel. I've had a lot of different coffees from all over the world, so im used to different flavors. But this coffee has a, we'll say, "unique" flavor. Looks like they have the set up and roast it themselves. And kind of tastes like it too. Odd, very mild flavor. Ended up having to add sugar to get past the odd flavor. And don't get a breakfast sandwich. Just don't. Gas stations have better. Probably a nice little back street local coffee shop hang out but not worth a detour.

2/5 for the coffee, 5/5 for the food, and a great atmosphere. My friend and I both got a staple iced vanilla latte, which is such a safe pick at any coffee shop. It left both of us feeling off for the rest of the day and we barely could taste any vanilla. We did get a couple of sandwiches which were great, and the open air atmosphere of the cafe was great. Maybe we got unlucky with the coffee, but the coffee severely fell short of our expectations based on the reviews

Last Saturday morning's coffee jaunt had me in the tight and narrow streets of Southside, Sarah Street. You can't miss this brother's owned Industrial, brick & mortar beauty of a coffee shop, previously a bar. Standing Wave Coffee Roaster. Love the outdoor seating area, as the entire store front opens to the city, weather permitting. Totally my vibe. Made my way to the inside and was in the mood for a pour over. It was spot on! The barista said the next time I visit, she recommended me to try the CONFLUENCE~ Cold Brew & Chi. On it! I took a long look at the pastries and headed to the cozy back space with my coffee, muffin, and my book. Give it a shot! Looking forward to going back.

What a great find in the Southside! Coffee is delicious and the vibe of the place is like your in a fishing cottage. Really comfy couches in the back to sit in but also tables and chairs out front. We'll be back to get coffee again and recommend the visit!

Holy moly! If you were a patron of the bar that was here before you will be BLOWN away on the transformation!! It’s beautiful and cozy. On top of that the coffee is GREAT!! Also had a yummy bagel. I had already deemed this as my new favorite when I saw a Middleswarth chip bag out of the corner of my eye…thank you for bringing a little bit of NEPA to the burgh. I hope you are around the southside for a very very long time! Ps. Love the name. Grew up working at a whitewater center (store girl here)
